Shearling Bomber Jacket & See by Chloe Lace-Up Boots
It is finally starting to feel like winter in some parts of Texas so I was excited to finally pull out my favorite shearling bomber jacket and my fabulous timberland-esque chunky boots. I’ve only been able to wear them while traveling back and forth to the east coast over the last few months. My shearling bomber gives a classic aviator vibe and is warm and cozy. I personally like to pair it with a simple t-shirt and jeans.
I absolutely love Timberland boots but I find them pretty heavy and a little impractical for my day to day routine and where I live. Even though I hardly wear Timbs, in high school (circa 2003), I was OBSESSED with the Manolo Blahnik ‘High-Heeled Timbs” as seen on Beyoncé in the “03' Bonnie and Clyde” video and on Jennifer Lopez in the “All I Have” video. Even though I was a high-school student with only my monthly allowance, I scoured eBay for those shoes with my little pennies in hopes I could score a pair and stomp the block just like Beyoncé and J. Lo. After alllll these years, See by Chloe gave me the Eileen Lace-Up boots which give a nice, fresh, feminine take on this winter classic. These boots have a sturdy chunky heel but are light and true to size (for boots, I do go a half size up in case I want to wear thick socks). I would take the more casual approach to wearing this shoe but you could definitely dress it up with sleek leather pants and fur coat.
