Looks of Love

Not everyone celebrates Valentine’s Day but I really enjoy this “holiday” because of all the public displays of affection and outward expressions of love. Honestly, we all could use a little more love because we know that is what truly makes the world go round’! When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I'm really the girl who wants to stay at home, cook dinner, watch a few movies and just enjoy my significant other’s company (flowers and gifts are definitely welcomed and appreciated too!). Whether you’re celebrating this holiday of love with your mate or enjoying your own company, I’m taking you around the city to indulge in some of my favorite activities in some of my favorite casual and flirty Valentine’s Day looks.

Dessert is the guaranteed way to my heart. Point. Blank. Period. I'm back in Houston for the weekend (and had to celebrate V-Day a little early) so I went straight to one of my favorite dessert places in the city (Petite Sweets), to catch up with some friends for a quick Valentine's treat of red velvet macaroons and crème brulee ice cream. I paired a men's Comme des Garcons PLAY heart logo t-shirt with a fun denim skirt and red-hot Kenneth Cole booties. How cute and fitting is my t-shirt for Valentine's Day? I knew it was perfect for an ice cream date with friends.

Later on that evening, I changed into a flirty ruffle polka-dot mini dress from Boohoo for a fun dinner date around Upper Kirby. I am committed to the white boot/shoe trend from the past year so my white boots from Steve Madden added a throwback mod touch to my thigh-baring mini.

If you are going casual or a little fun and flirty this holiday, I hope I've given you some Valentine's Day outfit inspiration. Outfits are linked below!
